Hello
Craving a creative adventure?
Embark on a journey with NW Arts & Recreation.
I believe in the power of visual storytelling, and I love collaborating with fellow adventurers to bring their ideas to life. Every detail I create, from the subtle slopes of a mountain peak to the exhilarating energy of an adventure, contributes to a deeper story. My passion lies in transforming your visions into stunning visuals that resonate.
Hey there! I'm Mary Buell, artist and fellow adventurer. Living the PNW lifestyle – think mountain biking, wrangling toddlers with my canine crew, coaching high school soccer, and fueling it all with serious coffee. ☕️
My art is all about inspiring exploration! Majestic mountains, trails begging to be shredded, cozy fireside nights – all captured in my digital illustrations and designs to ignite your wanderlust.
My love for the outdoors started young. Think of us as a gypsy family – always on the move, always outside. We didn't have a lot, so our adventures were built around stick forts, river swims, bike rides, berry picking, and exploring trails. Both parents, raised on the upper left coast, loved biking, kayaking, and camping – our vacations weren't amusement parks, but expeditions with a can of chili and a loaded trailer. The outdoors were (and still are) our playground.
Fast forward to today, and I'm raising my own little explorers here in Oregon. The outdoors continue to fuel my creativity. Whether you're shredding powder, carving waves, grinding gravel, camping under the stars, or bombing hills, I understand the energy and excitement that drives you. Why? Because I've likely been there myself! NW Arts & Recreation isn't just about creating killer visuals, it's about capturing that shared passion and translating it into art that resonates with adventurous spirits like you.
From Brainstorming to Brushstrokes. My Creative Journey. Before becoming a PNW-inspired artist, I spent years honing my creative skills in a different field: marketing and project management. Imagine brainstorming sessions, crafting creative briefs, and guiding projects from concept to completion. This experience translates perfectly into how I collaborate with you today.
And now, I'm thrilled to share that I'm finally pursuing my lifelong dream of becoming a tattoo artist! I'm currently working towards licensure in the State of Oregon and plan to open my own studio in Fall 2025. Stay tuned for updates on this exciting new chapter!
